Lake Minnetonka Bunko Babes
We were recently invited to a dinner party in Eden Prairie where the conversation turned philosophical to matters concerning the value of life. The host, who was honoring one of the guests, a Radiological Oncologist MD, for successfully treating his prostate cancer, (without invasive surgery) discussed what it meant to him to be able to enjoy his life.
For this man, the value of his life was closely connected to traveling the world with someone who enjoyed having fun sharing a history of treasured memories and mutual enthusiasm. Exploring the world with an educated bend, marveling at all there is to see. He is also a motorcycle enthusiast and belongs to a Cadillac Club.
So what does this have to do with the Lake Minnetonka Bunko Babes and their 2nd Annual Pajama Party? From my perspective, enjoying my life, being silly, and unpretentious is what it’s all about. When did the world start taking themselves so seriously and forget how it feels to laugh with friends?
Look at those faces and know that gratitude is alive and well! Among these women are an author, who suffered a terrorist attack, those who have gone through divorce, the loss of a grandchild, loss of parents, professionals in their fields, and stay at home Moms. The common bond is laughter and joy that surpasses any personal obstacles. I rest my case.
