My daughter Sonya and I stopped in to visit my favorite architect, Dan Anderson, about designing a home for her and her husband Steve. Dan gave us some unexpected news….

It’s time to build a luxury home on Lake Minnetonka, according to Dan! Dan Anderson has been an architect for years and is passionate about incorporating solid building concepts with new methods and technology. His mind breaks the matrix and grabs an idea transforming the mundane to the spectacular.

His current mission is at Palmer’s Point, an upscale Minnetrista development off Hwy 7. Dan’s take on current economics is “subs are hungry”, like everyone in the Real Estate business. He explained that a luxury home can be built today for the same price as 3 years ago. Inventory of building material can be bought, if you know where to look, at a discount. One of his clients put Marvin windows in his new home for a price so low I dare not repeat it here.
