It was also known for a famous hotel called the Hotel Del Otero. This hotel thrived until it burned down in 1945.

Today, Spring Park is a city approximately 270 households, ten apartment buildings and approximately 60 businesses, including Presbyterian Homes. Presbyterian Homes is a senior housing and convalescent facility that is home to about 400 residents.

If you are not quite ready for the old folk’s home just yet, you could move here to enjoy golf, tennis, yachting, fishing, and plenty of other water sports on Lake Minnetonka.

But if you buy a lake home here, you don’t have to wait in line at the ramp or tow your boat around. Just walk down to your own dock, climb aboard, and pull the starter cord.
